Mommy-to-Be: My Quiet Book

Recently I’ve been inspired by all of the quiet books for kids that are shown online or in stores. I decided to take a stab at making my own.

I decided to base my “theme” on the alphabet so every page had an illustration or texture that represented each letter. I used different colors of felt for the illustrations and the actual pages of the book, plus a few extras like ribbon, yarn, a paper bag, a zipper, and a quarter (yes, like the money).

Instead of sewing all of the pages together, which was my original intention, I decided to buy binder rings from Staples and punch four holes in each of the pages clipping them together. There was no sewing required, I just used hot glue, but you could certainly sew everything down if you wanted to.

Let me know what you think and tell me what projects you’ve been inspired by for your little one or for yourself.
