Introducing the P&N Surprise Sewing Challenge

Today we are super excited to announce the launch of our first ever Surprise Sewing Challenge – think Chopped from The Food Network, but for sewers and crafters! There are some really great sewing and stitching challenges in the blogging community that we love to follow and we got to thinking why not get in on the fun and host one of our own – so here we are!

We designed the P&N Surprise Sewing Challenge as a way to encourage people to stretch their stitching and sewing imagination, letting it go wild. We also love that this contest creates another opportunity to showcase and share ideas!!

We were lucky to have five extremely talented and creative craft and lifestyle bloggers agree to collaborate with us and participate in the challenge – a big thank you to them!!
Back in early summer boxes of “mystery” supplies were put together and sent to each of the bloggers – everything included in the box was chosen by us and a SURPRISE to them. We hand picked all of the materials for each bloggers’ package including, ribbon, trim, buttons and three different fabrics.

Each participant was invited to get creative and stitch up a garment, home decor item or accessory of their choice and of course their own design. We asked that whatever project was designed it had to incorporate at least two of the stitching “ingredients” included in the box and there was an option to add up to three of their own materials to the mix if they wanted.

This Friday we’ll show you what they came up with and we are inviting you to help us pick a winner so get ready to vote for your favorite. The winner will receive $100, which will be given to their charity of choice.
